about

SubSensory is a label run by American artist JAK, and its new release features previously unreleased versions of the Sergio Vilas track Detroit Day; remixed by Jon Rundell, JGarrett and the label owner himself.

Jon Rundell leads the charge in the same style of peak-time techno he has championed many times on Octopus, Desolat and Intec, which is the imprint he runs with Carl Cox. The original mix of "Detroit Day" has been heavily supported by Carl Cox himself and inspired this remix package.

JAK along with being label owner of SubSensory, has also featured on Illegal Alien Records and Trapez.

Last of the three remixes is from JGarrett who heads up the Subspec label along with having appearing on an array of others including Perc Trax, Dirty Minds and Eternal Drive.

Opening the release Jon Rundell’s hypnotic version has thrashing percussion plus an arpeggiated synth hook, and JAK opts for a deeper version filled with acid and an eerie melody. JGarrett finishes this hard-hitting EP with some old school flavours and gritty percussion.
